Often called the “Queen of Air Plants,” Tillandsia xerographica is a breathtaking statement plant known for its dramatic silver-green leaves that curl into a sculptural rosette. At an impressive 6” size, this slow-growing species commands attention on shelves, tables, plant stands, or hanging displays — adding a living art element to any space.
Unlike traditional houseplants, xerographica thrives without soil, absorbing moisture and nutrients through its leaves. This air plant prefers bright, indirect light and excellent air circulation. Its thick, silvery foliage makes it more drought-tolerant than many Tillandsia varieties, while still rewarding consistent care with strong growth and eventual tall, colorful bloom spikes.
Care Instructions:
- Size: Approx. 6” diameter specimen
- Light: Bright, indirect light; avoid harsh direct sun
- Water: Dunk briefly in neutral water once weekly, shake off excess moisture, and allow to fully air dry face down for 4 hrs
- Misting: Optional between dunkings as desired, especially in dry indoor environments
- Airflow: Provide good airflow to prevent moisture buildup
- Temperature: Best between 50–85°F
An iconic air plant prized for its bold form and effortless care — perfect for plant lovers looking to add a dramatic, low-maintenance focal point to their collection.
